Surface finishing refers to a variety of industrial processes that alter the surface of a manufactured item to achieve a specific property. Finishing procedure can be used to alter appearance, adhesion, solderability, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, modify electrical conductivity, remove burrs and other surface flaws, and control surface friction.
Components need external surface plating if they need an aesthetic finish or corrosion resistance. You can see what plating is available with us to suit your demands, helping you choose the optimum tooling and process design.
1. Nickel Plating – Nickel plating involves electroplating nickel onto the surface of another object to protect it, restore its surface after wear, or add new features like a beautiful finish or electrical conductivity.
2. Chrome Plating – Involves electroplating process to deposit a thin layer of chromium onto a surface by running an electric current between two electrodes that are submerged in a chromic acid-based electrolyte bath.
3. Copper Plating – Application of copper ions in a submerged electrolyte bath in the presence of current to deposit copper on locations where a metal seed layer already exists.
4. Brass Plating – A copper and zinc alloy is called brass. Brass plating is mostly used for decorative treatments and engineering purposes. Brass is electrochemically placed on metal in the form of a thin coating.
5. Zinc Plating – Zinc plating involves the electrodeposition of a thin coating of zinc metal onto the surface of another metal object, known as a substrate. The zinc coating creates a physical barrier that prevents rust from reaching the underlying metal surface.
Lacquer involves the application of a hard, frequently lustrous coating or finish to objects like wood or metal. In modern technology, Lacquer is used as a variety of clear or colored coatings that dry by solvent evaporation to provide a hard, long-lasting finish.
1.Electrophoretic Lacquer – Electrophoretic deposition or lacquer involves electrocoating, cathodic electrodeposition, anodic electrodeposition, and electrophoretic coating, or electrophoretic painting. An environmentally safe solution of specially prepared polymer resin dissolved in water is used to deposit electrophoretic lacquer.
2.Spray Lacquer – Spraying is another method of applying lacquer. Spray lacquers are used for Furniture and accessories and give a very durable, factory-like finish. They can be applied to unglazed pottery, wood, metal, plaster, or masonry etc. and give great luster after hardening.
Powder coating is applied as a dry, free-flowing powder. Powder coating is often applied electrostatically and then heated or exposed to ultraviolet radiation to cure. It is typically employed to produce a hard finish that is more durable than regular paint.
1.Phosphate Treatment – Phosphate treatment is a common pretreatment of magnesium alloys in the industry for increasing the surface biocompatibility of titanium alloys and stainless steel, such as osteoconductivity or osseointegration.
Cleaning is the process of removing undesirable elements, impurities, dust, or any unwanted contaminant from a metal or other surfaces.
1.Vibro Cleaning – Vibro-cleaners are used to remove large impurities like sticks, buck, and leaves as well as smaller impurities like fine dirt and sand from the product.
2.Centrifugal Barrel Cleaning – High energy centrifugal Barrel cleaning equipment is the quickest and most economical approach for deburring and/or polishing mass-produced parts or individual parts. With this technique, extremely high centrifugal forces can be applied to parts to yield the desired result.
3.Shot Blasting Cleaning – Abrasive Blast cleaning method, also known as abrasive blasting, is done by forcefully propelling a metal shot or a coarse material against a rough surface to smoothen it.
4.Ultrasonic Machine – Our ultrasonic Machine is tested for highly efficient washing and cleansing tubes and other assembly items, by creating ultrasonic frequency of calculated measure. This enables elimination of small abrasive particles that may be present in the material and removal of any unwanted abnormalities.
